Kenneth Ainsworth Log Book

This log book has been very kindly provided by David, son of SQMS Kenneth Ainsworth who was captured on Crete and was in Stalag V111B/344. David says: “My dad was the manager of the Dead End Kids Football Club and a lot of entries are related to that. There are also a number of photos of a Carnival Day in 1944 .As a matter of interest I remember dad telling me that (in the carnival pictures) the space rocket silver nose was made from the silver foil used in cigarette packs at the time! He also said that some of the cartoons were done by ex Fleet Street POWs”.
