The prisoners had very little food, leading to a proliferation of stealing. There were insufficient sanitary facilities and drinking water. Prisoners worked twelve hours a day. After construction, prisoners worked in the munitions factory. Occasionally, the prisoners were put to work on snow clearance on major roads. Red Cross parcels, new uniforms, as well as work clothes were limited.]
