Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to ask you for help. Several years I am looking for prisoners of war in Jeseník region. 2500 Russian prisoners of war, 2000 English, Scottish, Australian, New Zealand prisoners of war, 1000 French and 500 Polish prisoners of war were passing through Jesenik region during the war.
Up these days I have managed to identify 820 prisoners of war. In August this year the small church and a memorial was built in near Lipová(District Jeseník-Czech republic) village for all prisoners who spent a part of their involuntary captivity here.
In the archive in Jesenik I found these documents POWs:
E273 list
E492 list
E539 list
E336 list
Letter re detention of 2 POWs at E273 for refusal to work
Letter re continued refusal of 2 POWs to work.
Letter re escape of 4 POWs from E357
