My father, John Craven, of Preston in Lancashire and of the 8th Kings Own Royal Irish Hussars (RTC) was captured at Bir Al Hakim in Libya in May 1942, was at Camp 53 Sforzacosta from August 1942 until Sept 1943. He was sent to Moosburg and then Kaisersteinbruch and then to a small hut by Offensee, planting trees until liberation.
