Data sources

My Grandfather fought in WWII.

His information is as follows: B-37693 – PTE. Alexander Dickson  – PoW – Stalag VIIB Kdo E715 of the 1st Bn. Royal Hamilton Light Infantry.

He took part in ‘Operation Jubilee’, (Dieppe) and was subsequently captured in that raid and become a prisoner of war where he was sent to Stalag VIIB.

My grandfather would never talk about the war, except to me.

In 1995 (he passed away in 2003) he made some notes about his time in the war and passed them on to me.

I will be forever grateful for that.

Today, November 11, 2012, I sit thinking about his sacrifices and all those who have fought for my freedom.

Please honour my grandfather and add him to your list of prisoners.
