I have just been on the web site and see that you welcome any addition to the list of former prisoners at VIIIB. My Uncle was held there.

His details are as follows Gnr John Cornelius Kelly. 29184 7th Anti/tank Regt 2NZEF.Missing 18/5/41 POW Greece posted safe in UK 18/5/45. POW no 7860.

Hope that this is a help, there are far too many now days who are unaware of the sacrifices made so they may remain ignorant of the recent past.

I will be in the UK 4th Feb and will be travelling on Italy/Egypt to visit family/friends of family buried, at El Alamein, Sangro River, Monte Cassino, Cesena,Ravenna, Etaples, Leper.

As well I will be going to Lamsdorf/Lambinowice where so many had their years, health and lives taken.

Please include as much information and pictures as you can so that we can create a record of each man’s experience. With tens of thousands of POW records already on site please help us if you can by including at least one of the following: service number, POW number or date of birth.
