My father:-  Frank Malbon, gunner, 1103395.Royal Artillery, 11 regiment E battalion, Hungerford.

Embarked for Egypt 24.9.41.

Disembarked 9.12.41.

Reported missing in action 24.1.42.

Confirmed Pow.

Pow camp 65 Altamura Italy possibly 28.4 42.

The information I have is very sketchy until 1945.

From information I have managed to gather from his dog tags, he was moved to Lamsdorf Silesia dog tag no 33502.

At some point was moved to BAB21 Blechammer bou und barbets Battalion 21.

From there was on the long march leaving possibly January 1945, arriving in Fallingbostell  sometime possibly March and was liberated in April 1945.
