Herewith details of an ex-inmate of the POW camp

W/O Anthony George PARNELL DOB, 8th Sept 1921
RAF No: 1153363 254 Sqdn, Coastal Command.
Captured 28th March 1942 at BREST, France after his Blenheim had engine problems.
Sent to Stalag VIIIB Lamsdorf with POW No: 24852.
Liberated April 1945.

After repatriation to UK studied Dentistry at Royal College of Dentistry in London. Passed with honours. Emigrated to Canada mid 1960’s. Appointed Chief of Dental department, St Joseph’s Hospital, London, Ontario. Professor of Dentistry. Died 7th July 2013 aged 91 at his home in Lucan, Ontario, Canada.
