My father passed away on 15/04/2014. Going through his things I found a postcard from Stalag 344 that was sent to his brother in the UK. The postcard is a picture of a group of men.

My father (Eric George Yerbury) was in the BEF and at Dunkirk was teamed up with the 151-Highland Division, for what I understand to give covering fire so that as many allied personnel as possible could board ships and return home. Then they were ordered to destroy anything that the Germans may use and wait for there for capture.

I so dearly want to find out more about my father’s history, his war time period is something he did not talk of much.
