Subject: prisoner of war

 My father George Albert Anstice was in the South Wales Engineers Sapper No. 1952646   Unit CRU (Re; Battalion) and was a prisoner at Stalag VIIIB (renamed 344) in 1943.

Stalag VIIIB medical card 8G 10415/VIIIB     344   20/5/1943.

He was called up 3rd Sept 1939 and released 19th March 1944. He was reported as missing in action but did return home safely. 

He died 23rd March 1989 age 79.
