I would very much like my father’s name added to the Stalag VIIIB POW list as he was a prisoner there from 1942-45. He was part of the infamous death march.

His name was Private Angus Cameron. He served in North Africa with General Montgomery. He was first taken to an Italian camp and when the Italians surrendered, he was taken to Stalag VIIIB. Sadly, I have no more information as I was only a child during the war.

His army registration number was 7926551.

My father’s name should be on that list along with his comrades.

 Catherine Beadie (formerly Cameron)

Note.  Angus Cameron was held in Campo PG 53 Sforzacosta  Italy.  He was transferred to Lamsdorf 20-7-43 Page 3.  See Camps.
