My father, Benjamin Fulwell, of the Coldstream Guards, having been part of the BEF left behind at Dunkirk, was a prisoner at Stalag VIIIB until being liberated by the Americans after enduring 700 miles on the Long March. He died in October 2009, never speaking much of his time in the camp, but his experiences were never far from his mind, even towards the end of his life. We do have some photographs that have been in a box for 65 years as a reminder.
