Could you add Sgt Sidney T Olsen of the First Army Tank Brigade, Royal

Canadian Signal Corps to the list of POWs in Stalag VIIIB Lamsdorf Germany.

He was there for a year and a half after being captured at Dieppe in 1942.

He was sent from there to the coal mines in Poland. He then went to Stargard

where they sabotaged trains and broke machinery and never gave up fighting.

In 1945 he was marched 575 miles to Kirchtunki.

He was freed by the Irish guard and 51st highland Division.
