Contemporary Account/Diary

Carolyn Philips, born in June 1941, became a prisoner of the Japanese when they invaded Hong Kong in December 1941.

Along with her parents she was a prisoner in Stanley Camp, Hong Kong, until the Japanese surrender. She told us her story of life in the camp.

She was just one of the many British Civilians interned by the Japanese in WWII.
