Today I acquired a 1942 Christmas post card sent from Stalag VIIIB.  The sender was RCAF SGT A.E. Young nr. 26815. sent to Mr & Mrs Robert L Young, St Stephen NB Canada.101 Squadron

Royal Canadian Air Force. Aircraft lost 24-25/8/42 Frankfurt. One 101 Sq aircraft lost: Wellington III Z1594. Shot down by a nightfighter. Two crew died: pilot F/Sgt C S Elkington RCAF and rear gunner Sgt J H Garland (see photo). Three others were made POWs: Sgt A E Keir, Sgt A E Young RCAF, Sgt L T Goat RCAF.  [from http://thornley.awardspace.com/page173.html with thanks]
