Date: 23 April 2016

My father’s information is: Private James Nelson Kinder, service number 20345, gunner, artillery, 28th Battalion NZDF, 5th Field Reg, E Troop. Captured in Battle of Crete. Was on forced march.

I don’t have his POW number, but I have a great interest in his war history. We visited Crete last year from New Zealand – a moving experience. I also have a small photo album my father left of photos from the camp which I will hopefully share on the Facebook site.
