He was mentioned in an Incident Report Date: 09/10/1940. Is on Casualty List No 329. Previously shown on Casualty List No 234 as Missing.

Frederick had a head wound when captured and was possibly sent to a German Army hospital for treatment.

He was said to have volunteered as a cook when he arrived at Lamsdorf.

He was repatriated in time to be in London for VE Day
