At E3 Blechammer (English: sheet metal hammer) there were 750 POWs employed on construction work. They worked a ten hour day including 3 Sundays out of four. There was a British doctor in the camp and 2 British dentists. When the ICRC visited in May 1942 they reported that many next-of-kin parcels had recently arrived there.  [From ‘The Prisoner of War’ September 1942]
